PACA’s mission is to foster and encourage preservation and conservation, focusing on the built environment of Champaign County and East Central Illinois. In furthering such purposes, PACA shall study, propose, and support relevant legislation and public planning; provide support to the public through technical assistance and educational services; build coalitions within our community; and raise funds for the operation of our organization.

PACA is governed by and under the supervision of its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are responsible for enabling achievement of PACA’s purpose by establishing goals and policies, providing and managing resources, approving programs, and assuring PACA’s compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Committees
The 2021-2025 Strategic Plan updates PACA’s committee structure, creating four main standing committees to meet the goals of the organization: Advocacy, Education, Relations, and Finance. These committees will help create a structure through which our stated objectives can be accomplished.
